Natural hair comes with quite a number of challenges. Depending on your hair type, it can be pretty difficult to manage too. This in itself is just one out of many other hassles. Not to worry, I’ve got remedies to natural hair challenge for you and I’ll fill you in on them free of charge.

Breakage:

This is probably the most common and  frustrating natural hair problem many women face. It is easily experienced when one’s hair lacks sufficient moisture. Sometimes, it can be attributed to hormonal changes.

Remedy:

Go big on moisturizing often. If the breakage consistently continues, seek help from a dermatologist or endocrinologist to tackle issues that may be beyond your control.

Split Ends:

Split ends happen when the ends of your hair become dry, brittle, and frayed. They may resemble the end of an unraveled rope. Exposure to extreme weather conditions, and hair care techniques such as blow drying, straightening, and curling may cause split ends

Remedy:

While you can’t fix split ends the solution to preventing them is simple. Trimming regularly is a good one. Keep your hair moisturized and your ends sealed with oils. Be careful of what your ends rub against (wool and cotton are the enemy). Protect your ends and they will be kind to you!

Tangles:

Depending on your hair texture and type detangling may be a hassle. If you don’t detangle properly you will be leading into the common natural hair problems mentioned above. Breakage and split ends can occur if your detangling methods or tools are too aggressive or inefficient.

Single Strand Knots:

Are the absolute worst. No one likes knotted strands and if not handled immediately, single strand knots can lead to some unfortunate breakage. If you notice you are getting tons of single strand knots. Wash and Go’s can often be the culprit behind single strand knots so if that is your go to style and you are suffering from the knots… that may be one of the main causes.

Remedy:

Again, get trims often to get rid of those annoying knots in the first place. Then keeping your ends moisturized, get comfortable with protective styling when ever you can. Most important, be patient with your hair
